Follow up too soon.
Like… “Hi did you get my tape?” three hours after you sent it.
Every actor knows the struggle:
You audition.
You wait.
You refresh your email like it owes you money.
But here’s the truth:
A great follow-up can make casting remember you.
A bad follow-up makes them remember you for the wrong reasons.
Keep it simple.
Keep it respectful.
Keep it SHORT.
Something like:
“Hi, thank you again for the opportunity. Let me know if you need anything else.”
Boom. Professional. Calm. Zero desperation.
Follow up to build a relationship — not to chase a yes.
That’s how you stand out… without being “that actor.”
What’s the WORST follow-up you’ve ever sent?
Be brave… we’ve all suffered.
