In the Thriller genre, fear lives in the gap between two people.
In Session 3 of Acting for Film, Orr and Gabriel gave us a masterclass in Contrast.
We had one character vibrating with frantic, high-stakes energyβ€”pacing, panicking, filling the room with noise.
And then we had the other… absolutely, terrifyingly still.
When you put those two energies in a cage together, the tension goes through the roof. The audience is left wondering: Why is he so calm? What does he know that the other one doesn’t?
Orr and Gabriel, you navigated that dynamic perfectly. You showed us that sometimes, the person doing the least physically is the one holding the most power in the scene.
A chilling performance.
And a huge thank you to Guy and Champ for framing that contrast so effectively. The way you held the shot on the stillness made it even scarier. πŸŽ₯✨
