Dream of making movies but think film school is too far off? Join Film Club, where teens aged 12–17 can create their own short films!
What do Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, and Steven Spielberg have in common? They didn’t need film school to make iconic films. Their formula? Write a script, shoot with what’s available, edit it, and share it with the world. That’s exactly what you’ll do in Film Club over 8 exciting sessions designed for young filmmakers.
Course Breakdown
- Pre-Production (2 sessions): Discuss films and stories you love. Explore themes, create unique characters, and write a concise script. Wrap up with a shot list and storyboard to prep for your short film.
- Production (4 sessions): Bring your story to life! Rehearse, try improv, and shoot scenes using accessible gear (phones, lights, mics). Stay open to new ideas inspired by your surroundings.
- Post-Production (2 sessions): Edit your film, add copyright-free music, sound effects, and color grading for a cinematic look. Finish with a screening for friends and family, and maybe even submit to a Bangkok short film festival!
