You can’t fake being real.

Not in acting.

Not in life.

Not even when you really wish you could.

Being real means showing up — messy, brave, human.

It means laughing when things fall apart,

crying when your heart says “ouch,”

and still saying “let’s try again.”

In class, I always tell my students:

Don’t act to impress.

Act to express.

Be present. Be truthful. Be YOU.

Because truth is funnier than fiction.

And when you’re real — people feel you.
