It’s the best feeling in the world, isn’t it?
The lights hit your face. The adrenaline is still pumping. You’re sweaty, you’re exhausted, and you’re holding hands with the people who just went to war with you on stage.
To my Fundamentals Gen 24, Gen 9 Teens, and Advanced Acting students: That bow last Sunday wasn’t just a formality. It was a statement.
It said: “We showed up. We were brave. We told the truth.”
I watched from the side (with my brain slowly turning to mush πŸ˜…), and I felt so incredibly proud. You didn’t just give 100%β€”you gave 200%. You left absolutely everything on that floor.
Our alumni Phil called it “the best showcase so far,” and looking at your faces in that final lineup, I have to agree.
A massive thank you again to Coach Charlee and our incredible tech dream team (Potae, Gib, Punpun, Nes, Kaopad, Ford, Champ, Mek) for ensuring that when you took that bow, you looked like stars.
Sanford Meisner said, “To be an actor is a religious calling, and you must treat it as such.”
Last Sunday, you honored the craft. Now, take a breath. Soak it in. You earned it.
(Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to recharging my brain cells! πŸ§ πŸ”‹)
