Back in 2021, our Firefly Forest & MasterClass Studio family had the honor to join the International Science Drama Competition.
I want to reshare a beautiful post originally written by Warunya Soontorntae, who led the project with so much heart and dedication. Her words captured perfectly what this journey meant for the children, parents, and everyone involved.
Our team represented Thailand in the Junior Division—competing against teams from Singapore, China, and Nigeria—and walked away with First Prize Internationally 🏆. On top of that, our talented actress Nerrie was recognized with the Outstanding Performer Award. 🌟
What made it so special was not just the awards but the spirit of teamwork, resilience, and creativity. Kids who had never acted before came together, learned to form shadows with their bodies, built props, rehearsed tirelessly through COVID challenges, and poured their hearts into telling a story about Sustainable Agriculture from the perspective of underground creatures trying to protect the Earth. 🌍💚
It was a reminder that theatre is never just about performance—it’s about connection, perseverance, and community. None of it would have been possible without Warunya’s leadership, the dedication of our team, the love of parents, and the endless energy of the kids.
Looking back, I am still so proud of what we all achieved together. 🙏❤️
