GREAT ACTING ISN’T ABOUT PUTTING ON A MASK

It’s about taking one off.

In a world of social media filters and peer pressure, teens often feel they have to wear a “mask” just to fit in. They build walls to protect themselves, often losing touch with their own unique voice.

At MasterClass Studio, we don’t teach your teen how to “act fake.” We give them a safe space to explore the truth. By stepping into the shoes of characters, they learn that their emotions are valid and their ideas matter. We help them drop the “cool” act so they can build the true self-confidence that comes from being comfortable in their own skin.

Help Your Teen Find Their Voice

Adolescence is a pivotal time for self-discovery. This course is designed not just to teach acting techniques, but to provide a safe, creative outlet where teenagers can explore who they are. Whether your child dreams of being on Netflix or simply needs a confidence boost to speak up in class, this course builds the foundation for both professional acting and personal resilience.

More Than Just Acting

Our students often find that the skills learned in the studio transform their daily lives.

N

Unshakeable Self-Esteem

CONFIDENCE

Teens often struggle with self-image. By stepping into different characters, they learn to feel comfortable in their own skin, reducing anxiety and building a strong sense of self-worth that translates to school and social life.

N

Real Connection in a Digital World

SOCIAL SKILLS

In an age of screens and texting, we teach face-to-face connection. Your teen will learn to read body language, maintain eye contact, and collaborate with peers in a fun, non-judgmental environment.

N

The Art of Communication

PUBLIC SPEAKING

Acting techniques—like projection and articulation—are the same skills needed for confident class presentations and future university interviews. We help them find their voice and use it effectively.

N

Empathy & Emotional Intelligence

EMPATHY

To act is to understand others. By analyzing characters and motivations, students develop deep empathy and emotional intelligence, helping them navigate complex teenage relationships with greater maturity.

N

Resilience & Adaptability

RESILIENCE

In improv and scene work, things don’t always go to plan. Students learn that “mistakes” are just opportunities. They learn to think on their feet, solve problems creatively, and bounce back without fear of failure.

N

Focus & Discipline

DISCIPLINE

Rehearsing scenes requires memory, focus, and commitment. Students learn the value of preparation and the reward of working hard to achieve a shared goal with their scene partners.

The Curriculum

Great acting isn’t about putting on a mask; it’s about taking one off. This curriculum is designed to strip away the habits that block your expression, helping you access your authentic self.

Month 1: Human Essences (Weeks 1-4)

Theme: The Instrument & Monologues

We begin by exploring what we call “Human Essences.” You will strip away social masks to access your authentic self, applying this vulnerability immediately to monologue work.

  • The Actor’s Instrument: Sensory work, relaxation, and emotional accessibility.
  • Human Essences: Identifying the core emotional truths that drive human behavior.
  • Monologue Technique: Applying your “essence” to a solo performance piece.
Month 2: Dialogue & The CARBOMB System (Weeks 5-8)

Theme: Conflict, Objectives, & Creation

We move into dialogue and introduce Robin’s proprietary CARBOMB System (Conflict, Action, Reaction, Believing, Objective, Motivation, Being).

  • Week 5 (Playing the Objective): Moving away from “playing emotions” to “pursuing objectives.” Improv-heavy sessions where you discover how the pursuit of a goal creates the feeling naturally.
  • Week 6 (Reverse Script Analysis): You become the creator. You will write a scene designed to convey a specific message to the audience.
  • Week 7 (Improv vs. Repetition): Showcasing your original scripts. We explore the critical difference between the spontaneity of improv and the craft of repeating a scripted performance truthfully.
  • Week 8 (Showcase Selection): Selection of the Classical or Modern script you will perform for the final showcase. We begin deep analysis: beats, sequences, and first readings.
Month 3: Rehearsal & Showcase (Weeks 9-12)

Theme: Professional Performance

The final month is a simulation of a professional rehearsal process. You will take the script chosen in Week 8 and bring it to performance level.

  • Deep Rehearsal: Applying the CARBOMB system to your assigned scene.
  • Blocking & Staging: Understanding movement and stage pictures.
  • The Showcase: The course culminates in a live performance for an audience. You will also receive professional footage of your scene for your acting reel.

“I don’t just teach theory. I teach what works on set and on stage today.”

Since 2018, I have been teaching this powerful curriculum created by MasterClass Studio co-founder Warunya Soontorntae. It is a proven roadmap that bridges the gap between “acting exercises” and the reality of professional work.

With a Master’s in Directing from Chulalongkorn University and credits in international productions like The Creator (Gareth Edwards), Netflix’s The Serpent, and Amazon Prime’s The Forgotten Army, I bring real-world industry pressure into the classroom—in a safe way. Whether acting in German, English, or Thai, I use this exact training to ground my performances, and I am here to help you do the same.

“Masterclass Studio honestly became something very special for me.”

When I joined, I wasn’t confident and I didn’t know what to expect. But the atmosphere there — the kindness, the support, the feeling that you can just be yourself — it helped me open up in ways I didn’t expect. Some moments were really emotional for me, and some were pure joy. I learned so much, not only about acting, but about myself. I felt safe to try, to feel, to express. This experience stayed in my heart, and I’m truly grateful for everyone I met there. It already feels like something I’m going to miss for a long time.
